Why do Germany wear white?

Image
Have you ever questioned why Germany wears white when their national flag does not contain the color? Germany is one of the world's most recognizable national teams, especially when it comes to the World Cup, where they almost always advance to the playoffs. Inevitably, they were eliminated in the group stages four years ago due to the reigning champions curse, and after their shocking opening loss to Japan last week, it appeared that they would be eliminated once more. However, prior to 2018, they had advanced at least as far as the semifinals in the previous four competitions, with the only exception occurring in 1978, when there were two group stages. Along with the team, their uniforms are legendary. Their traditional white color is frequently paired with a lovely design, and their iconic 1990 World Cup winning shirt is one of the all-time greats. Intrestingly, Germany's uniform has nothing to do with their nation's flag, in contrast to nations like England,...

The Preikestolen

Image
Preikestolen or Prekestolen, often known as "The Pulpit Rock," "Pulpit," or "Preacher's Chair," is a popular tourist destination in Norway's Rogaland county. A precipitous cliff called Preikestolen rises 604 meters (1,982 feet) above Lysefjorden. There is an almost level top of the cliff that is around 25 by 25 meters (82 feet by 82 feet). Preikestolen is situated on the fjord's northern bank, close to its western portion. Is there still time to see one of the most well-known tourist attractions in Norway? A concerning break in the well-known cliff near Stavanger may be enlarging, according to reports. Since the 1930s, scientists have been aware of the crack; a few years ago, bolts were inserted into the granite to allow for the monitoring of any changes. Preikestolen is a famous hiking site that rises 604 meters above the Lysefjord and welcomed almost 300,000 tourists per year. Geologists reported that the crack has grown in size f...

Massive Crocodiles in Africa

Image
With the surfacing of the video of a giant croc online, it elicited memories of Gustave, Africa's biggest crocodile. Gustave has eaten over 300 people from the banks of the Ruzizi River and the northern shores of Lake Tanganyika in Burundi. It weighs in at approximately 900kg. There have been several attempts made to capture and kill it since the 1990s. This is evident as Its body has three bullet wounds. In Zimbabwe, another Giant croc was captured and killed in 2010, its size was massive. Villagers posed for a photo with the giant dead crocodile.

Super Metro Go Electric

Image
Super Metro seeks to revolutionise Nairobi's public transport system by introducing electric buses to complement their diesel-powered PSVs. Plans to launch electric buses followed a successful trial with BasiGo, a Kenyan electric bus company. Super Metro Sacco chairperson, Nelson Mwangi Nduki, noted that the matatu company had ordered 10 electric buses. Beginning in January 2023, the electric-powered matatu would begin transporting people along several Nairobi routes. The new electric buses will be equipped with technology that let commuters track their real-time progress, unlike their diesel-powered matatus. "We have actually ordered for 10 electric buses. Some are set to arrive in December and start operating in January," said Mwangi. "The new electric buses will be branded with Super Metro colours," he added. He pointed out that the decision to add electric buses to their fleet that now travels various routes would necessitate infras...

Scientifically impossible places that actually exist

Image
1. THE BOILING RIVER The Amazon rainforest is a place where the line between fact and fiction seems to blur into obscurity, although as scientists respectfully probe deeper into this enigmatic jungle, some of its most outrageous myths are turning out to be true. 2. NEVERENDING LIGHTNING STORM  Located at the mouth of the Catatumbo river, there’s a storm that rages continuously, with 250 strikes of lightning an hour. This phenomenon has been going on for centuries and it’s so massive that it’s visible up to 400 kilometres away. 3. THE HUM OF TAOS Inexplicable sounds are nothing new, but an eerie hum that lingers throughout the small town of Taos has been baffling people for years. The sound was first reported in 1993, when a group of locals complained to Congress about it. 4. CIRCLES OF NAMIBIA For years, scientists have been trying to figure out where these patches originate from. They’re known as “fairy circles,” ranging from five feet to 130 feet wide and ...

Plus-size Model Earning Good Money for her Curves

Image
A plus-size model who makes good money off of her curves claims that internet trolls are the true target of the joke. Steph Oshiri, 28, claims that since abandoning her work as a cosmetic artist, she is now earning $45,000 per month by displaying her natural figure on OnlyFans. The Canadian model claims to be 220 pounds, have 36DDD breasts, a bottom measurement of 55 inches, and a waist measurement of 35 inches. She signed up for the website in 2020 and apparently earned $2,000 to $3,000 per month without ever revealing her identity. She finally admitted who she was, and as a result of her luscious figure, her income soared. However she has received negative comments as well with people saying things like: One bully told her she was “seconds away from a heart attack.”  Another said, “doctors must just ‘love' me because I keep them in business.” “I’ve had people comment 20 times on a single video making fun of me and calling me every name you could imagine,” she s...

Ronaldo Fined and Handed a 2 Match Ban by FA

The Football Association reportedly gave Cristiano Ronaldo a £50,000 fine and a two-match suspension for throwing a fan's cellphone on the ground. After his team's game against Everton at Goodison Park in April, the player for Manchester United was accused of engaging in "improper and/or violent behavior" after appearing to swipe a fan's phone to the ground. The FA disclosed Ronaldo's sentence on Wednesday along with a thorough written justification for the 37-year-olds punishment. Ronaldo will be subject to a two-game suspension if he joins a different Premier League team. After his explosive interview with Piers Morgan on Tuesday night, it was officially announced that Ronaldo and United have mutually decided to end the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's contract. Ronaldo attacked the squad, previous manager Ralf Rangnick, current manager Erik ten Hag, as well as former colleagues Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville throughout the interview. In a statement, Un...

The Pangeos

Image
Saudi Arabia may soon be home to a USD 5 billion turtle-shaped terayatch. The projected floating city of Pangeos was created by the Italian design firm Lazzarini and is intended to travel the globe. If constructed, it would be the largest structure of its kind and have a capacity of 60,000 people at once. Its founder, Pierpaolo Lazzarini, described it as a floating metropolis for extremely wealthy people that would include all the amenities one would typically find on land, such as parks, shopping malls, resorts, beach clubs, as well as ports for smaller ships and airplanes. "The terayacht proposal takes its name from Pangea, the supercontinent that existed millions of years ago during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras," Lazzarini said in a news release. "Translating this into a somewhat futuristic expression, Pangeos extends its length for 550 metres (1,800 ft) and measures 610 metres (2,000 ft) at its widest point — the wings.” The enormous teray...

The Airbus and Jet Story

Image
An Airbus 380 is on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h at 30,000 feet, when suddenly an Eurofighter with a Tempo Mach 2 appears. The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, flies alongside the Airbus and greets the pilot of the passenger plane by radio: "Airbus, boring flight isn’t it? Now have a look here!" He rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, and then swoops down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive.He loops back next to the Airbus and asks:   "Well, how was that?" The Airbus pilot answers:  "Very impressive, but watch this!" The jet pilot watches the Airbus, but nothing happens. It continues to fly straight, at the same speed. After 15 minutes, the Airbus pilot radios,  "Well, how was that?" Confused, the jet pilot asks,  "What did you do?" The Airbus pilot laughs and says:  "I got up, stretched my legs, walked to the bac...

Manchester United on Sale

With the Americans seeking for additional investment, Manchester United supporters may finally get their desire and get rid of the Glazer family as owners. Throughout the Glazers' 17-year reign as United's owners, there have been various demonstrations against their administration. According to insiders, the family may finally be considering selling the club. A statement from them is reportedly on the horizon. According to the statement, the owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are prepared to reveal their intentions to seek "outside investment into the team." This might entail them launching a "auction" to purchase the club outright, which would allow them to profit immensely from their 2005 buyout. The process of a partial or complete sale of United or a third party investment has already been delegated to their investment bankers. The American takeover was the major point of contention when Malcolm Glazer, who was leading at the time and passed away in 2014...

The newly elected Trans Nzoia County Boss needs no introduction. His Excellency, Governor George Natembeya served previously as the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner and is well known countrywide on his numerous achievements while in that post, and is thus why the people of Trans Nzoia bestowed on him the mandate to steer the County to better tidings. Trans Nzoia is considered the bread basket of the country producing food that is consumed nationally. Natembeya has thus felt it proper to air his opinions when it comes to the GMO debate that has rocked the nation in recent days. He said this via his twitter handle: "I wish to submit my contribution toward the ongoing discussion on Genetically modified Organisms (GMO)debate which has attracted the national attention. Are Brazil Ready to Be World Champions in Qatar

Leaders in the FIFA/Coca-Cola Ranking Brazil will travel to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with a greatly changed lineup, with more than half of the team that lost to Belgium in the round of 16 in Russia four years ago having been replaced. Along with a change in personnel, the Seleção's mindset has also changed. This is a more daring team that has tapped into a group of talented young forwards who left Brazil at a young age and have made names for themselves at some of the best teams in Europe. They are Rodrygo, Antony, Raphinha, and Vinicius Junior. They are now prepared to assist Neymar in carrying the creative load. Most of them were teenagers in 2018 when they were just beginning out in their careers. “A Seleção had the results and the solidity but we lacked the impetuosity and creativity that these players bring,” said head coach Tite, who wasted little time in bringing the new generation into the fold. He now faces the challenging challenge of selecting who will travel to th...

TJ Perenara in a race against Time for RWC2023

After rupturing his Achilles tendon against England, All Blacks halfback TJ Perenara is in a race against time to be ready for the Rugby World Cup in 2023. After being selected for coach Ian Foster's northern tour team, Perenara came off the bench in the draw at Twickenham, his second test in the black jersey this year. Foster, however, has stated that the Hurricanes halfback will be out for nine months after pulling up short towards the conclusion of the test, and that he won't be participating in the Super Rugby Pacific tournament in 2023. "TJ has ruptured his Achilles," he said. "We're gutted for him. It's the 78th minute and he's innocuously gone to chase a kick, and it's gone bang, which hurts." The role of Aaron Smith's backup is still very much up for grabs because fellow halfback Folau Fakatava is still recovering from an ACL tear. Brad Weber and Finlay Christie have both played for the All Blacks this season, but neither has fir...

Ian Foster Shocked by England's Choice Not to go for the win

In a match that the All Blacks dominated for 70 minutes, New Zealand rugby coach Ian Foster claims his team is lacking after enabling England to snag a last-second draw. "We'll be more disappointed than them,  I loved the way we played for large parts of the game, we're moving well, but it shows we're not quite there yet."  Foster said. Foster, who had blasted Marcus Smith's appeal to settle for the draw, is surprised that England did not press for the victory. A large portion of the home crowd also shares Foster's amazement. "If you flipped it around, I would have liked our guys to have a crack, so I'm not sure what their tactics were," Foster said England's captain Owen Farrell justified the choice, arguing that his team was not in a strong position to attack. Coach Eddie Jones shot down any claims that his team missed the opportunity to snag an even more illustrious victory by saying he trusted his players to make their own choices. R...

Cab Drivers Announce a Looming Strike

Taxi drivers who use the digital ride-hailing services Uber and Bolt have called a strike that will begin the next week in protest of what they claim are excessive commission fees levied by the companies. According to the Organization of Online Drivers, beginning Monday, drivers will stop making reservations for passengers through the two applications. The National Transport and Safety Authority (Transport Network Companies, Owners, Drivers and Passengers) Regulations, 2022, which set a cap on the commissions the companies can charge at 18% per trip, were allegedly not implemented by Uber and Bolt, according to the drivers. Instead, Little Cab, Hava Cabs, and Yego Mobility will be used to make passenger reservations, according to their chairman Justin Nyaga. Charges for Bolt and Little Cab are correspondingly 20% and 15%. While Uber reduced the commission, according to Mr. Nyaga, it violated the rules by raising its booking fee from 4% to 11% each trip, effectively negating any benefit...

Ardie Savea Snubbed by World Rugby

Tadhg Furlong, Tadhg Beirne, and Johnny Sexton were all selected for the star-studded lineup, making Ireland, the current world No. 1, the nation with the most players. The World Rugby Awards in Monaco later named Irish flanker Josh van der Flier the best male 15s player in the world. He was also a member of the XV. The midfield duo of Damian de Allende and Lukhanyo Am was among the three South African players chosen. In the Dream Team, there were two representatives from each of New Zealand, England, and France, which is surprising given the French team's dominance this season. The lone representative from Australia on the team of the year was the winger Marika Koroibete, while the lone representative from Argentina was the flanker Pablo Matera. Even while the team appears to be terrific on paper, two obvious exclusions, namely the absence of  All Blacks and Springboks stars, have fans baffled. Many rugby fans were disappointed to see that All Blacks backrower Ardie Savea wasn...

ZUCHU'S US SHOW GETS POOR TURN UP

Image
Photo from  Google   Bongo Superstar Zuchu was dissatisfied yesterday when one of her American performances underperformed, with supposedly only 48 attendees. The event took place in Houston, Texas, in the USA. Later, Zuchu expressed her dissatisfaction on social media while also putting herself to the test. Every career has its difficulties, the singer said, and for her, this was one of them. She continued by saying that even well-known artists she admires, like her employer Diamond, faced obstacles along the way to stardom, but they accepted the challenge to put in more effort. Given that Zuchu is already well-known throughout Africa, it was unlikely that any of her performances would not be badly attended.

Ruiru Building Collapses

In Kiambu County's Ruiru Town, a five-story structure has collapsed. On Sunday afternoon, cracks were noticed on the building's pillars, and hours later, more than 100 tenants had been evacuated. Following complaints of the risk from the National Construction Authority (NCA) and the Ruiru OCPD, the rescue efforts were spearheaded on Sunday by Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi and firefighters. “Tenants can no longer stay in this house because its columns- which are supposed to support it have cracked. It cannot stand for long. If not for the neighbouring house that is supporting it, it could already be down,”  Wamatangi said while leading the rescue operations on Sunday. Within a week, Kiambu has experienced two building collapses, including this one. In Ruaka, Kiambu County, another five-story structure collapsed on November 17. Two occupants were killed when a nearby house was struck by a falling building.

France Make History in 2022

With a 35-17 victory over Japan, France completed an undefeated Autumn Nations Series and perfected 2022 thanks to destructive Damian Penaud and a touch of magic from Matthieu Jalibert. Prior to this game, Australia and South Africa faced-off France in tougher contests in November, and they had to be at their best against the Brave Blossoms, who trailed by just 11 points for most of the second half. Penaud scored in each half, while Jalibert gave France a boost from the substitutes' bench during a quiet second half at Toulouse's Stadium to send them home with 10 victories in a row for the year. Prior to kickoff, there was a torrential downpour, but Japan was not about to allow the weather change their game plan. In less than a minute, No. 8 Kazuki Himeno made a dashing run that almost gave the visitors a dream start after seeing a hole in the French defensive line. They were held up, although illegally, and showed initiative by choosing to go for touch from wide instead of sett...

GUARDIAN ANGEL:ESTHER Changed my Life

Image
Photo 📸 from CitiMuzik We are all familiar with him from the potent gospel songs he occasionally releases, but do you know anything about his personal life, particularly his marriage to Esther Musila? On his program, Dr. Ofwenenke had Guardian Angel describe how they met and the evolution of their marriage. It was fascinating to observe. However, the musician has focused mostly on how meeting Esther Musila changed his life. In 2020, Maina Kageni, a mutual friend of theirs, introduced the pair. In a previous interview, Esther described how, while on her way to work one day, she heard Maina Kageni playing the guardian's song on Classic 105. Since Esther and Maina are close friends, Esther called him and asked him who had performed the song. Maina answered Guardian Angel. She looked him up on YouTube after having never heard of him before, and spent the entire day listening to his music. She described how she later urged Maina to put her in touch with Guardian because she thought h...
