Ardie Savea Snubbed by World Rugby

Tadhg Furlong, Tadhg Beirne, and Johnny Sexton were all selected for the star-studded lineup, making Ireland, the current world No. 1, the nation with the most players.

The World Rugby Awards in Monaco later named Irish flanker Josh van der Flier the best male 15s player in the world. He was also a member of the XV.

The midfield duo of Damian de Allende and Lukhanyo Am was among the three South African players chosen.

In the Dream Team, there were two representatives from each of New Zealand, England, and France, which is surprising given the French team's dominance this season.

The lone representative from Australia on the team of the year was the winger Marika Koroibete, while the lone representative from Argentina was the flanker Pablo Matera.

Even while the team appears to be terrific on paper, two obvious exclusions, namely the absence of  All Blacks and Springboks stars, have fans baffled.

Many rugby fans were disappointed to see that All Blacks backrower Ardie Savea wasn't even nominated for the Player of the Year award after another outstanding season for him.

Many rugby fans thought Savea was the best player in Test rugby this year, but after learning that he didn't even make the top XV, some supporters are now doubting his existence.
