Kakamega Rugby Dominates Yala
Kakamega School Rugby delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the 2024 Yala Opens title by defeating Sawagongo with a commanding 17-0 victory. The Barbarians secured the win by scoring three tries against Sawagongo, with Shavan Ochieng, Garang Geu, and Austin Shuma each contributing a try. Additionally, Shuma successfully converted a try to seal the triumph. KAKAMEGA'S IMPRESSIVE RUN The Kakamega 7s team demonstrated their strength by dominating all their matches. They started with a resounding 32-0 victory over Maranda in the quarters and followed it up with a 27-14 win against Vihiga in the semi-final. On the opposing side, Sawagongo advanced to the finals after defeating Bondo Township 29-0 and Cambridge 12-7.
