  Football fans will be able to watch the eagerly awaited World Cup start on Twitter, according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk. On social media on Saturday, the CEO of Twitter announced that the social platform would stream live coverage of the opening match between the tournament's hosts, Qatar, and Ecuador. He went on to suggest that the game would include live commentary. 'Sunday is the first World Cup game! Watch on Twitter for the best coverage and current commentary,' thus according Musk. Despite Musk not providing any links or hashtags to use, the decision will be important for soccer fans who rely on a few of the free-to-air channels or set-top boxes for coverage. Only Kenya's KBC TV, a free-to-air channel, has announced plans to broadcast around 28 of the games for the general audience. The competition, which will run from November 20 through December 18, will feature 32 teams. Eight groups will compete.

Following last-minute negotiations, World Cup organizers in Qatar have prohibited the selling of alcohol near stadiums, FIFA reported on Friday. FIFA and Qatari organizers were involved in late negotiations over whether beer will be offered at the stadiums during the tournament, which starts on Sunday. FIFA said in a statement: "Following discussions between host country authorities and FIFA, a decision has been made to focus the sale of alcoholic beverages on the FIFA Fan Festival, other fan destinations and licensed venues, removing the sales points of beer from Qatar's FIFA World Cup 2022 stadium perimeters." While fans can buy alcohol at the authorized fan zones throughout the competition, however, the availability of beer at the actual games has generated some debate. Guillermo ‘Memo’ Ochoa is set to play in his third World Cup.     How Ochoa has made a name for himself on the biggest stage in football. Ochoa earned call ups to the 2006 and 2010 World Cups for Mexico based off his performances for Club América.     He didn’t appear in a match in either of those tournaments. Then in 2014, Ochoa was named Mexico’s starting goalkeeper and earned a clean sheet in a 1-0 opening game victory over Cameroon. Sepp Blatter, a former head of Fifa, said that awarding Qatar the right to host the 2022 World Cup was a "mistake." Blatter, 86, presided over the body that controls world football when Qatar was chosen to host the competition in 2010. The Gulf state has been under fire for its stance on same-sex relationships, human rights record, and handling of migrant labor. Blatter asserted that he was "right" at the time when he said the tournament "should not go" to Qatar in 2022. Blatter claimed that Qatar is "too little of a country" to host the World Cup and that "football and the World Cup are too enormous for it" in an interview with the Swiss newspaper Tages Anzeiger. Aston Villa have today announced the appointment of Unai Emery as the club’s new Head Coach. This follows the sacking of ex Liverpool Captain, Steven Gerrard.  Unai, formerly with Villarreal, led the yellow submarine to Europa League success by defeating England Giants, Manchester United, in the final in 2021, and as well as getting them to the semi-finals of last season's Champions League. Unai is a highly experienced top level coach having managed over 900 games. He has also previously managed in the Premier League during a spell with Arsenal, leading the Gunners to a Europa League final. He also enjoyed success while at Sevilla and at Paris Saint Germain, where he won three successive Europa League titles between 2013 and 2016 with Sevilla before going on to lift a Ligue 1 championship in France as well as two French Cups, two French League Cups and two Trophée des Champions. There was plenty of drama in an English Championship game between Blackpool and Sheffield United that ended in a 3-3 stalemate. The contest featured a 98th-minute equalizer, a late missed penalty, four red cards, and a fight that broke out after the game's time limit had expired. The game was played at Sheffield United's stadium, Bramall Lane. The goals by James McAtee (8') and Iliman Ndiaye (23') gave the hosts a quick 2-0 lead.
