Uruguay beat Ghana 2-0, but needed one more goal to qualify. On that account, South Korea made it out of the group after stunning group leaders Portugal with a last minute winner crafted by the talismanic Hueng Min Son.
Ghanaian fans celebrated nonetheless as their team had exerted revenge for their 2010 elimination by the hand of Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez.
