Victoria Cup: Match Day 1

Tournament hosts, Kisumu RFC, sailed through to the last eight with a resounding victory over Siaya RFC at the Kisumu Poly Grounds. Lawrence Buyachi's side were too good for their opponents as they thumped them by 60points to nothing.

They are joined by former Kenya Cup side, Western Bulls who overpowered Bungoma RFC 44-9 at the Bullring in Kakamega. This came after Vihiga Granite did battle with Mbale at the same venue. Mbale got the better of their counterparts to register a 31-15 win on the day.

Kitale fell to Eldoret in a tightly contested match that ended in a 16-15 final scoreline at the Eldoret Sports Club.

Kisumu, Bulls and Mbale join Kenya Cup sides MMUST and Kabras who had prequalified for the Quarter Finals.
